Reaching For You - Chapter Two

She was dancing, laughing and the laugh brought along with the little corn cats.

Fionna the Human stop at halt and turn to see triple corn cats, she put her arms on her waist. She stares at them and command the corn cats, her nieces to stop dancing. Then she said goofy, "So, how was the dance?"

One named Momo, a fine boy with a horn and a colour appearance of a cat with a look of a mother speak up, "It's fun!"

Other named Blackie, she's girl whose name based on how her skin was so black as dark as the father but merely as a cat as her mother, speak up after her brother, "It's was awesome!"

The last one was a mix of his parents' color and its the only one who body stay long as the father's, speak after his sister, "And it always make us better, Aunt Fi!"

Fionna laugh and hug them in glee. It was nice to have a lot of nieces but sadly, Cake told her to watch them while she's out ("To get stuff, you know" Fionna recalls it), what a butt her sister does, but oh well, that's what Cake does as a mother and Fionna actually love the corn cats so much that the corn cats love their aunt at the same time.

Fionna stop hugging them and insist them to play while she will rest. Fionna begun to rest in the couch, she started to think something, more important stuffs she has in her mind now.

"It's been three years and half since Cake and I came here," She thought, "I didn't realize how fast was it, how I meet everyone, and how awesome my adventures were...but now I feel like I'm getting old." She shook her head but continue to think again, "Well, first I lose my crush on Gumball since he's now a big man, and a great official king of his kingdom....and secondly, I almost fall in love with Flame Prince but he rejects it to me so instead of that, he confess that I should be his friend because he never have one before, that's why we're friends as long as I have the same friendship with Gumball...but both of them were busy, and Flame Prince's father die a few years ago thus making himself a official king, that way, he spend his time trying to rule his kingdom. The last time I heard of him was that he's in a another island, probably issues with the water kingdom and other stuffs..."

She tilts her head to watch the sky from the window, "But that was good for him through, because I forgot my love for him and think of him as a great friend, well one of the awesome ones I have meet..." Then she realizes something was missing that she almost blurt it out, "Marshall Lee!"

She stops herself when the corn cats turn around to look at her with 'what's wrong aunt?'expression, Fionna just told them to keep playing something. When the corn cats look away and continue playing 'hide and seek'.

Fionna went back to think about this vampire, "That king, the one and only immortal vampire I ever befriend with, someone who is so full of himself yet he reveal to be somebody's son. He was a singer, a bassist, and a strong passion toward his music. I never thought that I have known him more than two men I have hangs out with. He always come to my house almost every night, I mean he told about it, right? (See Episode, "Marshall's Closet")...well, not these times he scare us or where he almost saw me, nevermind. I shouldn't think about that...But Marshall was different, he may be lazy and blunt but...he's certainly a funny one, even introduce me to some scary monsters I could fight off or just chill out. It's crazy but that's all I could think again, Marshall was just different, wait, did I actually thought he's different? Yeah, he may be a king, but I don't see him as a king, a real one like Gumball and Flame....It's weird because,

I just fallen in love with him.

I mean, three years and half! I finally realize who I was suppose to be with, should I confess him? No, that would be stupid like I did with Flame and Gumball before...But Marshall would accept it, right? He always accepted whenever I ask him about going out (See in "Go With Me"), or just hang out like usual! No that can't be..OH--"

"DAMN IT!" She said finally, causing the corn cats to shoot a look at Fionna, "Oops, sorry kittens! I'm just being impatient here, hehe" This work on these kittens who went back to their little game.       

Fionna was about to get off that 'wow it's that getting old' couch, then heard a knock down the ground floor.

She walk down to where a front door was usually is (along the bunch of old stuffs from oldest adventures she has). She stop when she notice a familiar figure, a figure that so slender (slenderman anyone?) but fair that the figure was floating and eventually, she knew who is this figure behind her door.

She open the door, put her hand on the threshold (it's even a word of that doorway?), and other on her waist as she speak with oh-so-serious tone,

"Hey, what's up?" She said, "Vampire King."

Marshall was already holding an umbrella in case that he will need it when the sun shines its own again, and said in his oh-you-serious tone, "Nothing much, human."

They stare at each other as if they were enemies for a long second then suddenly, both of them break into a great laugh and Fionna was the first to stop her laugh and said, "Dude that was so stupid!"

"Come on, we have tried that many times!" Then Marshall bit his lip to remind him what's he doing right now, "Oh yeah, do you want to go to another adventure with me?"
"What, wait, but I have no time!" Fionna said, "I mean, I have to babysat these kittens before Cake's home" She pout as she head-pointing behind her back to show the corn cats, who were down near the 'upstair', eavesdropping and they all run upstairs when Marshall saw them,

"Yeah, I can see that."

"So...Really, I'm sorry, bro." Fionna said, with an I-am-so-sorry smile as she plays with her ringlet bang. Marshall was about to say something when Cake just came in between them and said, "I'm back, honey!"

"Cake!" Fionna exclaim with a great relief noticing her sister brought stuff already, "Finally!"

When the name she shouts came to up the living room, the triple went jolt down the ladder, and scream out of their crazy lungs as they bolt toward to...

"MAMA YOU BACK HOME!" They shout in unison with a happy expression in their faces.

They tackle into her and nuzzle with her when Fionna said, "Oh yeah, Cake, am I free now?"

"Yes you have," she laughs as her kittens were hugging her and giggling too much, "Free time now, Fionna!"

"Oh right, so I'm so in, Marshall!"

"Hah, that's was surprising," Then he said, "So...?"

"What time is it?" Fionna said with a big grin because this phrase never get old and Marshall just grin to match Fionna's,

"It's ADVENTURE TIME!"

As Fionna went pass by him, Marshall look around and see Cake's looking at him with a wink as if Cake were saying, "Good luck with the plan!" Marshall sigh with a smile, nodding in understand.

"What were you waiting for, Marshall!?"

"I am coming, Fi!"
